Landscape Urbanism
We are designing and planning urban, social and natural areas of every scale, where people and the environment interact and perform in open space. Whether it is a small infill site, a neighborhood, an university Campus or a whole city landscape, no assignment is too small or too big. Sustainable development of cities to cope with climate change, migration or shrinkage is one of our key activities. The combination of densification of city quarters, establishment of green corridors and retention zones helps cities to become more liveable and resilient.
Architectural Design
Besides landscape urbanism, we also design architectural spaces which foster human well-being and social interaction. Our spaces inspire and challenge their users and inhabitants to go beyond their usual habits. Starting a project with asking questions and careful observations we carry it from the basic evaluation through concept and schematic design all the way through construction and completion. We regularly collaborate with local partners to best answer local conditions and requirements.
Interior and Industrial Design
We follow a holistic approach to be able to implement our high social and aesthetic ambitions in every part and scale of the project. From city scape all the way down to furniture and appliances, we conceive interior spaces, furniture and day to day objects in the most sustainable and renewable way.
Product Development
Besides the classical individual design topics like urban, architectural and interior spaces, our designs are continuously (re)developed into products. We have advised and collaborated with leading industry partners like “Cree Buildings” and “Gropyus”.
Mass Timber Construction Services
A particular interest lies in the design and construction with renewable materials like timber, rammed earth, clay and straw. We advice our clients in the project development, design and building phase of sustainable structures. Hereby a strong focus lies on the development of mass timber highrise buildings.
Sustainable + Resilient Strategies
Balancing resilience and climate-adapted building with responsible and well designed architecture, urbanism and interiors. Green facades or sustainable city quarters without individual transport or energy supply from the outside, the well-being of living and working environments is a plus for us humans and the planet.
